| In the "Lemmon Cays" we were amazed to find a tiny spit of sand with a small hut that doubled as a bar and an internet cafe!! There is no village in this group of islands, but the Kuna from a nearby island saw an opportunity and decided to cash in on it! They have put up solar panels for electricity, and a satellite dish for internet, and a fridge full of cold beer, coke and rum ... altogether, the perfect way to a yachtie's heart (& wallet!!). This is a very popular cruising ground, and many permanent live-aboard yachties spend season after season around here. | |
